LEDs are polarity sensitive ie if your vehicle is + earth and you fit a - earth LED, no damage will be done but it won't light.

All modern cars and bikes are - earth. Post war British bikes are mainly + earth all others negative. Post war British cars nearly all - earth.

6/12V Stop/tail lights for vintage/classic cars & bikes

We have designed a small printed circuit Lightboard that can be easily mounted inside tail lights and is suitable for most classic and vintage cars and motorcycles. This takes 12 red LEDS for the stop/tail light and 3 white ones for numberplate illumination. The lightboard is only 1 7/16" in diameter (38MM) and mounts on 2 pillars with 3MM female threads. Only 2 small holes need to be drilled in the rearlight to mount it. The original bulb can be refitted later. The existing contact is removed and the wiring exits as normal. Full fitting instructions are supplied with each unit. The tail light output is designed to be brighter than standard for greater safety. Very low current draw, 0.0075A
The lightboard can be supplied to suit 6V or 12V and positive or negative earth systems. All the LEDs glow red at reduced intensity for the tail light and at maximum for the stop light. As well as stop/tail lights these boards can be used for tail/fog lights, or tail lights on their own.	If they are connected the wrong way round they just don't work - they won't be damaged. Each Lightboard costs £21.95

Sealed Lightboard NEW

This Lightboard features15 red LEDs and is incased in weatherproof clear plastic.

It is 37MM in diameter and attaches using a 6MM rear mounted stud through which the 3 leads pass.

This can be fitted behind a red or clear lens or left exposed

As in the Lightboard above all LEDs light for tail and all light much brighter for stop. It is E marked.
